Electric Recliner Battery Pack Rechargable
Free Australia Post Tracked postage included in the price.
This is suitable for most recliners with the connection described below, not just ones sold from Global Living Furniture.
An electric recliner battery pack is used to substitute mains power for a period of time.
Instead of plugging your recliner lounge/recliner directly into the wall and having the cable running across the floor into the lounge for power. Adding a battery inside or underneath the lounge allows the power cable to be removed for a period of time until the battery depletes it charge.
At this point the battery will need recharging to be able to then use the recliner again.
This is great for rooms that do not have powerpoints in the wall or floor where electric recliners want to be positioned.
This also removes the cords across the floor from being trip hazards.
General information:
The storage capacity of this battery is 1800mAh. (these style batteries generally range from 1200mAh to 2500mAh) This battery at 1800mAh is a mid-sized battery.
The connection used as per pictures is known by 3 names and is one of the main electric recliner power connections used. The OI 2 pin connection, Pin and Spade connection, Hi-Fi connection.
How to charge the battery:
Your electric lounge/recliner with the same connection mentioned above will come with a powerpack transformer cable. This same cable that you already have is used to charge this battery (as per picture).
1.) Plug your lounge/recliners powerpack transformer cable into a powerpoint in your home.
2.) Plug the "male" connection of the battery pack into the "female" connection of the powerpack transformer cable.
3.) Charging time is between 4-12 hours depending on the level of battery depletion and other atmospheric conditions. (A green light will show on the battery back when it is fully charged.)
How to use the battery:
Take the fully charged battery pack and plug the "female" connection into the "male" connection on the recliner. At this point you will be able to use your recliner supplied with power from the battery pack.
Battery Life Expectations:
The manufacturer of the batteries gives a guide of between 75-150 motions for a full charge. (One motion is considered as one recline motion or one return motion of a standard electric recliner.) This is a guide in optimal laboratory testing conditions. This guide does not take into account factors such as:
Additional power drain from higher powered recliner mechanisms, electric motion headrests, electric motion lumbar support, touch buttons, usb chargers, any led lights on the lounges/recliners, powered cup holders, other powered accessories attached to the lounges/recliners, weight of the user and atmospheric conditions.
All of these factors increase the amount of power usage per motion and reduce the total charge available. This will mean you will need to charge the battery sooner.
In more normal terms, battery life can be from days to weeks, depending solely on all the above factors being taken into account.
Warranty:
There is 12 month manufacturer's warranty on failure or materials defect.
The warranty does not cover reduction in battery life from standard use.
The warranty does not cover low battery use expectancy due to the large number of power drain factors.
The warranty does not cover misuse or lack of care.
The warranty/liability does not extend to damage of other items/goods/property from use of the item.
